The first countries to receive the new products are Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States, the company said in a press statement sent to Gulf News.

Apple has yet to confirm when the new phones will be available in the UAE, although industry sources had suggested that the UAE release will be in October.

Apple had unveiled the products earlier this month at a press event in the US. iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus feature multi-touch interface with 3D touch, 12-megapixel iSight camera and 5-megapixel FaceTime high-definition camera.

“Customer response to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus has been incredibly positive, we can't wait to get our most advanced iPhones ever into customers’ hands starting this Friday,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

“iOS 9 is also off to an amazing start, on pace to be downloaded by more users than any other software release in Apple’s history.”

Faisal Al Bannai, CEO of Axiom in the UAE told Gulf News that they will be announcing pre-booking dates soon.

“Based on previous experiences with Apple, new iPhone devices are usually made available one to four weeks after the global announcement, meaning the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus could hit our stores by October.”
