It may seem too good to be true, but Anna Dello Russo recently announced that she wants to get rid of many of the designer clothes she has accumulated over her 30-year career.

Around 30 classic Anna Dello Russo pieces will be up for auction at Christie’s, with all profits going to the Swarovski Foundation, which supports students at Central Saint Martins.

The exclusive event will launch Milan Fashion Week and will be followed by a second sale online at Net-A-Porter.

Expect around one hundred bags, shoes, accessories and designer pieces from her native Italy, including a full Giorgio Armani look worn by Anna herself to her sister’s wedding.

There will also be pieces from the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Prada and Miu Miu, not to mention international houses like Raf Simons for Jil Sander, Burberry, Jean Paul Gaultier, Balmain, Margiela, Roberto Cavalli, Lanvin, Roksanda Ilincic, McQueen, Tom Ford for Gucci and also Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy.

The sale will be followed up with the release of Beyond Fashion, which retraces Anna Dello Russo’s career. Stay tuned.
